The people stand disenfranchised by debt,
Due to politicians who know no other way,
To entice votes from the people and approval from their parties,
Than by ever offering golden promises to be given on borrowed money.
To slow down this race to disaster,
We cannot get rid of all the politicians and lawyers,
As that is not practical, nor in line with human nature’s dark side,
But we can reduce the politician’s power,
By direct votes on some big issues by the people.
Evil often may not be completely eliminated,
That is nonsense and unreal thinking,
But evil may be reduced in influence.
Let us minimize evil–the power of politicians,
And maximize good–the power of the people,
By direct voting of the people on some of the big issues
That determine the people’s destiny.
Let us improve where we cannot eradicate.
