When the people see democracy at work,
Hopelessly degraded through politics,
They often shiver, shudder and look inside for peace and good.
But they are told to wait until the next perhaps equally meaningless professional political elections
Comes round!
The people have learned through time to see and say absolutely nothing,
They are told to see nothing but wait until another round of votes for nothings,
For every nothing there is another nothing waiting to replace him or her,
Promising everything but offering nothing.
Let us cut the Gordian Knox of politics today,
With some direct voting on issues by the people.
Remember the people!
Those whom the politicians have put in debt up to their necks.
Even their grandchildren are in debt.
The people have not voted on these debts.
They have been manacled on the people by politicians.
